I believe I wrote about “power hours” before, but a lot of you on this list wouldnt have gotten it.

Because I believe I wrote about it once in 2018, but that was it . . .

But anyway, the ancient Chinese Taoists (and probably Asian spiritual guys from anywhere) have this concept of power hours which I did not know until a few years ago.

Basically, they say that the hours between 11 – 1 AM in the morning and 11 PM – 1PM at night are the power hours when “anything you do” during those times is magnified in terms of benefit (and I’d imagine the reverse too if you’re doing something negative).

In other words, get a 20 minute workout in during those hours, and you benefit as much as you would as if you had worked out for 40 minutes.

I don’t know so much about that …

But I do know, yes, that in general, those hours, at least the AM hours have always been roughly GREAT hours for me.

When I used to wake up early in the morning and do my exercise first thing in the morning, I’d head into work or start writing etc around that time, and I got a hell of a lot done.

And late at night, 11- 1 AM or so … YES!

Everyone is asleep, the entire world is quiet. I can think, meditate, visualize, and my crazy ass has even done 100 pull-ups at the good ole hour of 1:30 AM once!

(but a lot of oldtimers did those “moonlit workouts” too. Think William Boone, old time strongman from the South for one who dag ditches during the day! Hot ass days too I might add).

I dont generally workout at night.

But I will say this – the concept has something TO it.

And to me, the main thing is as follows –

My – and I believe YOUR – real power comes from the first couple of hours AFTER you wake up.

Most people reserve those two hours for everything and anything other than the one person they should be i.e. themselves.

Same thing for before bed.

Those hours – or time – should be YOURS.

And if you’re too busy – honestly so – well – I have this to say – I feel SORRY for you. and that you should MAKE Time for your power hours.

Because believe me, giving the first two hours or so of your day to anything – your fitness – or you – or your business – comes back to you manifold and multiplied in terms of results.

If you thought I worked out first thing in the morning when I got in great shape, and then late at night again?

You’d be RIGHT.

If you thought some of my major league biz successes were made late at night – again. Spot on!

And if you thought some of my books were written or concieved of late at night – again. Right-o!

The key is – first thing in the morning upon waking up and then last thing at night before sleeping.

Make time – somehow – for yourself – your life – your biz – your fitness – and you’ll never regret it.

As an aside, how I manage to get so much done during the day is something that often befuddles folks, given I wake up at the grand ole hour of 1130 AM . . .

(as of now, it’s been 10 emails on this site, two more to the Ship (including these 10 too), four more on another two sites, and then I’ve started a new course of sorts too).

Lots to do, and thats an average day for me.

Power hours is part of the secret.

Power workouts are a huge factor too, along with visualization.

Power workouts being the short workouts I get in throughout the day.

Believe me, when you crank out 100 squats throughout the day and reach 500, or do the same with pushups – or pull-ups – or a combo therein – thats all the “amping” up you’ll ever need.

Do so -and BENEFIT!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee
