0 EXCUSES – BAR NONE!

Conceive – believe – ACHIEVE!!

The vast majority of people that come to this site, and many other “motivational” sites such as this will read, and then sigh and say “I can’t do this”.

“It’s too difficult”.

“It’s just not for me”.

“He’s genetically gifted. He’s strong and flexible naturally”.

And so on and so forth. I can almost hear the excuses pouring out of the minds like water gushing out of a fire hose at full tilt.

Note I said the MAJORITY. I didn’t say ALL – and for that “vast”, hehe, minority that actually takes action – or hell, even THINKS about taking action – well – KUDOS.

Let me start with the last statement as that is pretty much what most unfit folks think when they come across fitness professionals.

It may come as a shock and surprise to you, my dear friend, but the facts are thus –

  • I was NOT born genetically gifted. If anything it’s been the exact opposite.
  • My body is NOT “naturally” shaped the way you see it now. If anything I have an inclination towards a “pear shape”, if that makes any sense.
  • I have been overweight and near-obese at certain stages in my life, and super fit in between, and have overcome all this.
  • My current KEY to fitness and success is something that is way beyond this particular post, but let’s just say that it’s NOT just hard work, although that is required.
    • The REAL key is something that is so simple that you wouldn’t believe it if I delivered it to your doorstep gift-wrapped.
  • There is literally no “can”t.

Way too many folks prefer to take the easy way out and say “can’t”, when they really should be getting down to business and saying “I CAN”.

Or “I CAN IF I SET MY MIND TO IT”.

THERE IS NO “CAN’T”!

Ole Mickey in Rocky II giving the “vacillating “Yo, I can’t learn how to fight left handed!!” Rocky” a piece of his mind. He was RIGHT too.

Look, no goals are impossible if you set your mind to them – and fitness is no exception. Fitness is actually one of the easiest goals in life to accomplish – if you just accept the fact that you CAN do it.

Remove the word “CAN’T” from your vocab when you look at me doing push-ups or “contortions” that may look like a circus performer seem stiff and inflexible as an iron road.

Remove the word “CAN’T” when you look upon someone you regard as a success, and remember that it isn’t always smooth sailing and most likely has NOT been smooth sailing for said person.

There are 99 failures for every success. Folks focus way too much upon the one success – but in a NEGATIVE MANNER – and then spend way too much time dragging themselves down with a zillion and one reasons as to why  it cannot be done.

YOU and YOU ALONE as your own worst enemy – or BEST FRIEND.

You and YOU ALONE are the MASTER OF YOUR OWN SHIP!

Where you steer it is ultimately up to YOU, and this holds true for fitness as well as other areas of your life, my friend.

Conceive – believe – ACHIEVE!!

Best,
