Dear Reader,

I’ve spoken often and at length about the value of doing things a certain way – and also about doing things on a DAILY basis – whether that be related to fitness, biz, or life in general.

If there is one thing in your biz that brings you the greatest returns – well – make sure you do it on a daily basis.

Not “almost daily”. Not “if you feel like it”. Not “well, we’ll see”.

JUST DO IT – on a daily basis!

Ditto for writing – sports – or any other endeavor you partake of.

At one point in my life I was banging out an average of 8000 words per day – DAILY – without a break.

Yes, thats right. 8000/day – that includes the weekend as well, when most people are busy partying it up.

And while I had my own reasons for doing this, the same thing is applicable in terms of fitness.

After writing to you earlier this evening, I went out and had a great, great 100 rep workout. I did 50 pull-ups and 50 dips followed by sprints, but the point isn’t so much what or how I did it – the point is this – I’ve made a commitment to myself to do a certain number of reps daily – and I do it regardless.

And the results are there for all to see.

Emerson famously said, ‘Do the thing, and you shall have the POWER‘.

And if there is ONE thing I’d add to this otherwise immortal quote – it is this – do the thing – and do it on a daily basis – preferably multiple times a day, and you’ll literally reap “power times 10”.

Cause and effect, means and ends, seeds and fruit cannot be severed; for the effect already blooms in the cause, the end preexists in the means, the fruit in the seed.

And as you take a minute to ponder that sage quote (Emerson again) – – think about this as well.

How much would the average Joe – or Jane – or Bubba – benefit fitness wise from making a rock bottom simple commitment to a 100 reps a day?

Now don’t get me wrong. I am NOT saying the reps need to be done at one go – in fact, for most people, doing 10 reps of anything in a row is a chore.

In fact, there are those for whom doing 5 pushups is a current impossibility – – let alone even attempt a single pull-up.

So – – space ’em out over the day. Do ’em in sets. But whatever you do, and whatever it takes – get to 100 reps a day.

And if more people would take up challenges like the ones above, we wouldn’t be facing the pandemics of obesity and other associated troubles that we are today all over the world.

If you just did 100 pushups a day (something that if you’re in good shape shouldn’t take more than 10-12 minutes TOPS) in proper form, and you did that over the space of a year without taking a single day off, thats 36500 pushups over the course of a year.

And your body would change – BIG time – from doing this alone.

But why just 100? Why not start with 50 – or even 20?

IF ALL you did at this point was 50 reps of jumping rope (for those of you that are currently at “beached whale” status) – – and you made a commitment to do just this daily, and you did it – well, guess what.

You’d be a new man – or woman in less than a month’s time.

If ALL you do over the course of a year is 10 pull-ups and 30 minutes of walking per day, and you do this daily – well – same effect.

The key is commitment – and sticking to something once you begin!

It’s not so much the numbers – it’s going out there, and doing something daily – and doing it the RIGHT way, in the right spirit.

Yours truly made a committment to walk 500 steps without stopping at one stage – and guess what – not only did I get there, and surpass that – I think I ended up at 900 plus without stopping for a breath – on a hill at that – but something else happened.

That 900 steps became so easy for me that nowadays I just “fly” up the hill as it were – that same hill that gave me a butt kicking el supremo the likes of which I had NEVER felt the first time I climbed it!

You too, my friend, can get much the same benefits – if you simply make a commitment – and stick to it!

So if you’re reading this – give me a shout out and let me know if you’re up for the 100 rep a challenge for the next year – in ANY activity of your choice.

Do it – and keep  me posted on your progress. Not only am I betting you’ll make a rip roaring success of whatever it is you do – – but I’ll share your tales with the world as well!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – 100 reps on the pull-ups might sound like a faraway dream, but remember this – the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step – and it only gets progressively EASIER.
