Back in the day, I believe this was in 2017 (around the same time I was doing Advanced Hill Training, and training, hard, hard, HARD! – and getting to be leaner than a JAGUAR on speed at that) I went for a walk around the hood.

A fairly well maintained hood at that.

Communist dictatorships DO have some good points!

But anyway, paddy field – > spanking new clean development isn’t the point of this one.

While walking around, I saw several bars – and several Jims.

Which brings to mind an inane comment I saw on a WeShat profile the other day about “I’ll show you which beer to drink after lifting weights” (apparently it’s “the beer that will grow muscle”).

Of course, it was followed by an invite to a group.

Ugh.

I blocked dude. But training wise, he actually looks like a real weightlifter as opposed to boobybuilder. . .

Anyway, more on that later.

The Jim?

Here is what one of them told me (bear in mind, all I was doing was take a look at the madness – and the girls doing “yoga shmoga”, if I were to be honest, hehe) ..

This gym isn’t for guys like you! We want people with muscles!

(Apparently girls without muscles was fine though. Hey, that almighty RMB they have!)

And being they had pictures of Mr Olympia plastered all over the wall along with other puffed and bloated monsters, I got the heck out of Dodge asap.

It’s funny, though.

Dont people go to the gym to build muscle?

Seems my lean and mean look ticked the idiot at the front desk off anyway.

“We dont want Crossfit types!”

I politely told him I dont do Crossfit, and never would, but he wasn’t having none of it (bear in mind, all I was doing was looking around).

I dont know, maybe the girls checking me out pissed him off.

Or maybe the fact I was in better shape than a lot of the other riod monsters pumping in there … and frothing at the nostrils too apparently.

Ugh.

Anyway, I got the red ass (it don’t take much, hehe) and walked out of there, so that was the end of that story, but as I told a customer John about it yesterday, here is what he said.

I’m shocked to hear you say that the gym you visited told you they only want guys with “muscle” to train there, usually it’s the other way around and the gyms tend to discourage the bodybuilder types because they’re worried they’ll frighten the average gym goer away.

I understand where they’re coming from in this regard as a mate of mine used to put together all the weights he’d be using and wouldn’t let the other guy’s in the gym use any of it until he’d finished with it and he was massive so nobody wanted to be the one to challenge him not even the gym’s manager.

Dude he’s referred to is a black belt and a real trainee, not a pumper and toner for “sho” (believe me, John wouldn’t mention him if he wasn’t)

(Which goes to show, you CAN train with weights and implements and weights and make great gains – if you don’t booby build. I’ve personally lifted in the past, as you know, and while I feel bodyweight is the best, there’s nothing wrong with adding a few lifts in there if you so choose. Anyway, more on that in Lumberjack Fitness which will be out hopefully soon).

But the Jims are RETARDED, my friend.

This one was probably doing all they could to protect their biz or what not.

Maybe they were scared I’d sell my stuff to the nutzos!

Believe me, I’ve had muscle men come up to me and look at me doing pull-ups, and then ask me in awe.

“I bet you can do a muscle up!”

This isn’t me Tom Tomming – it’s me telling YOU the results my book can get YOU – for example, “Pull-ups from STUD to SUPER STUD within WEEKS” (which is what I Was training at the time).

So I’d probably piss most of their customers off and in that regard, I guess it was good business for the Jim in that they were protecting the fragile feelings of the pumped up roid monsters.

Fragile indeed, but this brings up an interesting point, and why training at home is the best way to go (yet another reason).

I mean, think about it.

How many times have you waited at the Jim for equipment to be free (and these days, if it’s even open)?

How many times have you stood in line to use a machine?

HOw many times have you wiped off someone else’s sweat from the machine? Ugh. (SChofield might love it, but I bet most of us sane folks don’t!).

How many times have you waited to get on your treadmill, and the minute you think you will, the bimbo on there gets on the phone for one of those interminably long USELESS phone calls?

And so forth…

Training at home on your lonesome, my friend takes care of all this for you.

Just your, your bodyweight, and the floor – and a chinning bar (and implements if you so choose – I generally don’t, except for Indian clubs, jump ropes and the such).

Well, I’ve been known to use the ab roller on OCCASION …

And anyway, if there’s one thing I love about my Rolls Royce Fitness System – or any others – it allows you to get in a workout anyplace, anytime – anywhere – of your own choosing.

No more “depending upon others”.

This morning I wrote about a person who apparently is enjoying her moment of fame “in the social media limelight” (as long as they dont de platform her) due to “X number of views etc”.

And of course, the nuts out there have gone ga g over the number of views etc (look, Mommy, over 1 million views!!) – and are Tom tomming her as a “marketing genius” and a success story (Which she might be, but her business I dare say is founded on very shaky foundations for reasons mentioned in emails prior to this).

I’ve no doubt she “live streams” as well. Call me biased or worse, or a “redneck from TX” which was the latest yesterday (and I’m fine with the moniker, hehe) – but given the name “Tang” is of Asian origin I wouldn’t be surprised if she does live stream.

In China, and the Far East at large, the dumbphone seems to be more important than breathing.

You’ll see young couples out dating staring at their phones, not eating their food, and not talking to each other for one.

It’s ridiculous – you could literally set off a bomb or something nearby, and they wouldn’t notice, so immersed are they in their madness!

But anyway, live streaming.

I’m sure you’ve heard of this, no?

Korean girls live streaming their assets and how much they can shove down their gullets and later puke to men that get off on that sort of stuff.

Busty bimbettes pandering to cucked men that can’t get none and pay these women for what they “show” for a brief few seconds, and they go back and rant up tomes about those men.

And of course, the China tom tommers and business experts living on their girlfriends masquerading as such have jumped on the bandwagon.

I just saw one of them proudly tom tom the “genius of WeShat” where the live stream can be connected to the ecommerce store you own on there (almost impossible for an expat to do on his lonesome – the PRC makes damned sure you always have a Chinese connection to whom the spoils will go down the line – read British expat Mark Kitto’s piece on “You’ll never beChinese” for a pretty good explanation of what goes on in this part of the world – and he ain’t by far the only one thats written about it) . . . and people can “click through and buy”.

Apparently thats “genius at work”.

Well, gee whiz.

Ecommerce stores have had that sort of funtionality indirectly for ages. The real genuis if I can call it that is WeShat allowing it to be done by folks with no tech experience, I suppose …

… but back to live streaming.

I hardly create any videos unless there is a need.

And live streaming – pandering to the masses to “prove” what I do works and “show them in real time” and other inane nonsense?

Pandering to customers that will “click through” not because they’ve researched you thoroughly before making a purchase – and buy “on the spur of the moment” (impulse buyers) or because “its the next big thing” or so forth.

And then move on instantly without in many cases even using the products.

Nah.

The world might be moving that way but a few of us Dinos will NOT succumb.

And it won’t be either.

Why site views ain’t all they’re cracked up to be, and the huge, huge illusion of security you get from relying on ONE media (or source of income)

I was just reading a post (piece) about Chloe Ting, supposedly the current reigning “workout queen” on YouTube.

Obviously judging by the cute picture she put on her website – and the “ripped look” she is promoting (and hey, dont get me wrong – I’ve NO idea how she trains etc – this isn’t a critique of HER so much as the Bozos that claim … ah, but we’ll get into it) a lot of those views are from Nutter Schofields signing up for “free” stuff.

A lady wrote a piece about why she is “so successful ” and has over 120K views on Joo Tube …

All apparently because Chloe does a lot of free stuff, and gives it away.

Now, there aint nothing with giving away in particular.

You on this list know that!

I’ve often said that you give first, and you receive AFTER that – and you often receive a lot more than you bargained for.

And while I don’t do it the way Chloe does (free workout programs apparently) – I give you about 10 x the value you thought you were signing up for when you joined the list via these emails – and then of course the products themselves – worth WAY more than the “Reassuringly expensive” prices they’re priced at (no, the prices wont go down, panic-demic or not).

Now, point of all this?

The lady doing the piece on her (it has the feel of a “quid pro quo” piece, though I could be wrong i.e the writer gets something for mentioning her, she gets the publicity and so forth – and again, if thats the case, no problem from my end!) keeps referring to the “number of views”.

And the free stuff she gives away, and claims she is a roaring success because of those things.

Ummmm….

I’ve made NO secret of the fact that “X number of views” dont mean jack shyt unless it translates into real solid PROPORTIONATE income.

I’ve also made no secret of the fact that Joo Tube and these other social “she-dia” platforms with freebie seekers galore ain’t all they’re cracked up to be.

There is a reason I dont use ’em!

There is a reason I dont do free videos on Joo Tube like everyone else is.

(Part of that is because I’m el caveman, admittedly, but the business reason is – it simply ain’t worth it).

…. which brings me to the crux.

ANY TIME I talk about “resounding success”, I’ll talk numbers.

Like X number of … SALES.

Or, X number of contracts coming in from …

Or, I made so and so TODAY – or per month – or whatever.

And none of that is mentioned in the piece I read.

The lady just claims that she makes money off Joo Tube, the views etc, they promote her more, etc etc.

All of which might be very true and probably is.

But here is the crux of what I’m saying.

Relying upon any one external source to promote yourself and make that your mainstay is a massive mistake, especially these social media platforms that de-platform so called celebs from their platforms DAILY.

Instagram. YouTube. Freak-Book. Hell, if Donald Trump can be deplatformed from Twitter – so can you!

A sitting U.S. President …

Admittedly Trump used Twitter a LOT – and it played a huge role in his success, but even HE has his own website now, if you’ve noticed!

And thats why I neither pay attention to so called guru metrics (“I got 124 K views!” ) or any of the other rubbish out there.

End of the day, if I put a picture of a gal out there with “sexy” abs and workout dresses, then, as my wife once told me “years ago” – you can put ANY girl out there in shorts, and people will still watch her for free, hehe.

Hey.

Can’t fault that logic, and can’t fault the men that do it!

But anyway, I hope this gave you some ‘value’, hehe.

And on that note – thats why I have so many fitness products out there – because it’s truly “no one size fits the bill”.

In fact, and ideally, most people do great not just by staying on one program (sure, you should do that but once you’ve done it a while) – but a COMBO of many different programs.

Pushups one day.

Sprints the next.

Maybe a quick home based squat workout the next …

And, so it goes.

Why a lot of advice out there is not just utter garbage, but not tailored to the current “age” (and then some that DOES WORK)
- It boggles the mind!

I see a lot of “advice” out there on the Internet – sometimes from people whove made millions of dollars (really made, as opposed to the “posers”) doing what they say they do.

And teaching others how to do it.

But sadly enough, a lot of this advice doesnt WORK in today’s day and age – especially the unprecendented “China plague” age we live in where everything has quite literally been turned topsy turvy.

Fitness wise, business wise, life wise …

Dont send more than X number of emails say all the experts, or you’ll “turn your list off”.

Have a regular sending schedule.

A regular “time” when your emails go out so people “expect” it then.

All of this may be good “tinned” advice, but it’s never done me a lick of good – and I suspect it hasn’t done a lot of folks a lick of good either.

Especially not in the panic-demic.

What you do is what works for you, which for me is the precise and polar opposite of what MOST so called experts recommend you do.

Both life wise and fitness wise – and business wise.

Run on the treadmill for half an hour a day, they all claim, even as celebrites and sportspeople doing just that are not just NOT getting into better shape by doing that, but worse – ending up in the hospital.

Plus, what if you can’t get to the damn gym at all for months?

You still pay the fees!

But you can’t GET there because of inane lockdowns, restrictions or what not ..

Once you do get there, I dont think you’ll be “broing” around these days with all the Nazi social distancing going on and what not . . .

Yet, NONE of the advice out there – or precious few people – give it to you straight about home based workouts, and how they work better than almost anything else out there – plaguedemic, or not …

I do.

I always have – recession or not – plague-demic or not – panic or not.

And I always WILL continue to, because it’s true.

Some things don’t change.

Then, we have the so called gurus preaching about business, where to advertise and such.

People find you on Google, they say. Advertise there.

Well, this advice isn’t necessarily true TODAY. And it wasn’t back in the day either.

Google is ONE way to do it, yes.

But it ain’t the only and best way by far, and never has been.

In a panic demic, unfortunately or not, people are driven by PANIC.

Closed minds filled with fear.

And therefore, the laws of business may sometimes change from giving people what they WANT – to what they NEED – and profiting from it – because sometimes, that want is a NEED too.

My books are written precisely in this manner – plague or no plague.

I give people what they want, yes. But I also give ’em what they need!

Napoleon Hill spoke about this in Think and Grow Rich i.e. giving people what they NEED.

That book was written in one of the greatest depressions the world has ever, ever seen – until – NOW.

And the advice in it is sage, and holds true until today. Precious few FOLLOW it though.

Some advice does stay constant throughout the ages! (unless it’s so called gurus raking it during the good times and using that advice during the bad as well to try and make more, knowing fully well it doesnt work).

More examples of good advice “for the ages”?

Well, my book Fast and Furious Fitness – the ORIGINAL – the actual “hardcopy” is one of them!

I still have 5 of them sitting around.

It was 8 when I first mentioned it a month or so ago.

Oddly enough, I never marketed it as much as I should have – beyond a few emails, I never spoke of these books.

Why Jair Bolsonaro and Donald Trump (OF COURSE!) had it spot the EFF on (and those of us with BRAINS too)
- My oh my, the panic!

I dont know if anyone noticed it, but the plague from China has returned with a venegeance – oddly enough, around the exact time countries locked down fully last year is what is starting to happen again THIS year.

Oddly enough, both years, Chinese New Year was downplayed big time.

Oddly enough, ALL the festive seasons – no matter in which country – the plague miraculously seems to “abate” a few weeks before, and return right during it.

I dont believe in coincidence, period, but the Bozos – globally – seem to hav ebought into the mess that the CCP wanted them to.

Hook, line and sinker.

Do we ever see any one talking about FITNESS – and how this damn thing doesnt generally strike people in good health (and even if it DOES, 9 out of 10 people that get it usually have a pre existing health condition)?

Do we see ANYONE, except those of us with brains (I’d put myself right in that bracket – I’ve been saying this since Jan 2020!!) – and Donald Trump – and the Brazilian Prez Bolsonaro (though even he hasn’t said it openly) criticize the people that actually DID this to the whole world??

No.

Hell even the CHO (WHO) has come out and said now that China is withholding evidence, not allowing access etc!!

Yet, this inane trend of lockdowns and restrictions continues. Not to mention this vaccine mania – and from what I read today (though it’s somewhat old news) 15 millions doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccine in the US Of A have to be destroyed for not meeting quality standards or what not.

Apparently the supervisors are so over worked that when confronted, one guy snapped back “do you want me to make the drugs or do quality checks?”

Well, can’t say I blame him.

These vaccines take AT LEAST 3-5 years to be rolled out – AFTER exhaustive testing, and this hasty “push through” in less than a year?

Was bound to be fraught with issues.

But of course, how dare I say it.

How dare I rail against masks and the panic, and how dare I want the world in general to get back to normal.

Most of all, how dare I say that the LOCKDOWNS are what is ruining the global economy – something the Bozos are unable to see apparently.

Anyway, the Brazilian President said th efollowing about the plague from China –

(My daughter once called it the COVID – I told her NOT to. I mean, Jesus, Corona is my favorite beer – I sure dont want to associate Corona with the Kung Flu!

“I saw some recent research that those who have a healthy lifestyle are eight times less likely to have problems with Covid,” he said. “You lock people at home… what does he do at home? I doubt they haven’t increased their weight a little, from last year to this year.”

“Even I grew my belly a little bit,” he joked.

Of course, he was lambasted in the press as being “genocidal” for saying this.

Much like yours truly is for saying it like it is – remember that LONG list of names?

And much like the Trumpinator is …

Truly, saying it like is attracts a ton of criticism, but so BE it.

I for one ain’t gonna stop calling people out on their bullshit.

And healthwise, what the Brazilian Prez said is SPOT ON.

Focus on your health – both mental and physical – and you’ll be just fine most likely.

That, oddly enough is what people are NOT doing at home, getting more and more panicky “woe betide me” and screaming doom and gloom from the rooftops.

People would do well to remember Claude Bristol and the sage words he referred to in the Magic of Believing.

As we think so we are.

And that, my friend is that.

At least by own very prolific emailing standards .. . (most of you are likely still catching up on emails from DAYS ago, as opposed to yesterday or a couple of days ago).

Anyway, my “client application” was accepted in a dream this morning – almost a lucid one, but not really.

I woke up, and got to work.

8000 or words later, and a couple of solid hours later – Im done with yet another course – except it ain’t fitness related, and it truly is a “shamianic way to super pain and pleasure” if that makes sense!

Pain and pleasure!

And on that note, what did I do right after putting my course out?

I did my own variant of “pain and pleasure” – or I should say, whats painful for MOST initially – for the first coupla seconds.

After which you start relaxing into such utter bliss and relaxation, that, my friend you’ll wonder why you didnt do this before, or KNOW these techniques before.

I did techniques straight out of … you got it.

Isometric and Flexibility Training.

Some of what I did ASIDE from that – was hang from a chinning bar for a minute, and hold a handstand for half a minute.

That 1:05 is enough not just to hammer most people, but give them the static workout of their lives.

And then of course, I finished off with the special squat I teach you in the book.

A squat that is truly a “shamianic squat”, has benefits that go beyond the profound – super spiritual – and a squat that pretty much takes care of any and all digestive problems on its own.

I feel great.

- Copying, plagiarism and more!

This is going to be a quick one, but I gotta share it with y’all.

Saw the following on Moronic-Cesspot-In . . . (I’ll let you figure out the exact social media there).

Some chick was getting upset over people copying someone’s work apparently. (and she ain’t the only one either).

Copying someone is NOT a form of flattery!
It’s theft.

As I’m looking into the copyright section for my upcoming book, I think back to the many posts I see where someone mentions they’ve been copied. A post, word for word. Or worse, an entire training or method is passed on by someone else, who changed nothing else but their name.

Of course, you can get inspired by others, and then give it your own insight and experience. Or when you want to share something word for word, just share the post so that everyone sees who it’s from.

Do you think copying is a compliment?

Well …

I think I’ve addressed this a lot before, and why those being persistently copied should take it as a huge compliment, why the idiots doing so are doomed to fail, and why you can make some BIG money off people copying your stuff (and even trying to cheat you by “passing your stuff on for free”).

So I won’t start again, but just a couple of things that are applicable here.

First, plagiarism, and people copying stuff I’ve written – or things I do in my daily life – and then very vehemently denying they got it from me (and when I show them proof, they harrumph and run away) is common for me.

Initially I used to get upset over it – now?

I laugh at it – even welcome it.

Because if you know what you’re doing, you can make some serious MONEY off these fools.

Por Ejempelo, one of my non fitness books was actually put on one of those file sharing sites a couple of years back.

It was one of the more popular ones amongst the 80 or so books (just in that vertical) I’ve put out.

And till date, that book – which until then hadn’t really made a lot of sales – remains the most popular one in my arsenal, without me doing any real conscious marketing for it (I do market it, but not as much as you’d think, or near as much).

Even 0 Excuses Fitness was for a short while put on one of those sites by some idiot before I complained and had it taken down.

But really, people complaining about this need to think about one other aspect.

Look at all the movies that are pirated out there, for one.

I dont think their stars are losing sleep over being pirated?

Piracy hurts the industry, sure. But it also makes sure you get a whole new set of eyeballs watching your work, who whether you might think or so may buy from you down the line and usually DO buy.

I’ve watched movies on “DVD rip” or what not, and then seen the exact same damn movie in the theater. Or, bought a DVD! (a $18.something original for Get Carter back in the day in 2001 was one memory – of course, that DVD didnt work outside the US, so in China it was back to bootleg, hehe.)

So, thats something to bear in mind

Second, and more importantly, giving credit.

Where it’s due.

I believe I go the other extreme in this regard.

I dont shy away from mentioning people I learned from – those that inspired me – those that didnt – the wackos – Bozos – everything.

I let it all hang out.

Hell, it’s all there in the open on my sales pages, in my books and presentations, even the videos, and Bozo Schofield even made it to the second Volume of Fitness Pioneer for his pioneering trolling techniques (not really – hehe – tried, tested and REJECTED techniques – and plus I only mention him in one line) . . .

Does it hurt sales?

Any  ?

Not a lick, my friend.

My most trolled courses are Gorilla Grip and Pushup Central, and Animal Kingdom Workouts is making its way up those charts, in ALL regards. Hehe.

And I’m loving it.

And my response to the lady – oh, before that  – remember that discount we got going on – 30% – get in now because it won’t last forever.

Personally, I’d take it as a compliment and use their “copying” to put more dollars in my pocket. Hehe. I do it all the time when getting copied/aped by idiots that won’t even give my material credit in terms of where it comes from.

I’ve never understood why people do that by the way, as if someone inspires me, even if I didnt “copy” anything from them in any way, shape or form I freely credit them in my books and courses.

Small minded are the sort of people who just steal, plagiarize and wonder why they ultimately aren’t getting anywhere. To put it another way, you can try and duplicate Mozart, or any of the greats all you want, but you’l never be the original.

The key is to be YOU, which makes you UNIQUE – unfortunately although everyone reads about this, precious few have the guts to truly do it. Thats my $0.02 on it, anyway!

The boobybuilder who wanted a “back shape” like mine!
- Yet, that wasn't what it brought to mind for me.

Last year, around May or so, I saw a boobybuilder.

A great guy, actually, but a self confessed boobybuilder that spends I believe at least three hours in the gym daily (and he’s actually one of the guys that DOESNT miss, as opposed to  the majority of Joes that get (and Jane’s) fitness memberships that lie mostly UNUSED).

And when I met him, entirely by chance, I was struck by his massive size – and aesthetics as well.

For a change, this dude didn’t look to be a bloated mess, but he was HUGE.

Those shoulders, broad chest and the traps (well, to an extent) stood out the most, but it was the shoulders that really did it.

He gave me the once over after exchanging initial pleasantries, and I could tell the question was coming before it reached his lips.

I’ve had it happen so often!

“You must be going to the gym here”, he offered. 

“Never”, I said. “I dont go to Gyms at all!” 

“Oh”, he said. “But … even for a Crossfit guy like you….”and he trailed off. 

“I dont do Crossfit”, I replied laughing. And knowing a boobybuilder wasn’t exactly the best person to try and convince of my stuff (not that I’d want to anyway – to each his own) – I tried changing the topic.

“What is the name of the …”

He wasn’t having none of it.

“But your back is built!” 

I shrugged. Can’t win ’em all!

Yes, I said. “I do a lot of bodyweight etc”.

Now, this guy was MASSIVE, but – and I didnt notice this before – from the back, he looked “nowhere near as big” as from the front.

His legs were decent sized, but nothing compared to the shoulders.

Good genetics, and I can only wonder the Tyson like legs he’d have if he did some serious leg work too!

But anyway …

Rather than “praise myself on the X shape to my back”, what this brought to mind at the time for me was the case of the 26 year old boobybuilder in the pool, supposedly in the prime of his life, that had not one, but two heart attacks before 25 (after which he saw the light) and even a year later, doing a GENTLE breadth – ONE time- across the pool left him winded for 10 minutes.

That was years ago.

I was fat – somewhat – at the time.

Yet, I couldn’t believe the shape this guy was in externally – and internally – a total mess in terms of the latter!

And he was pretty forthright about it too, which is great.

Great to see more and more people’s eyes “opening” as it were, if not for the dazzling bright light you should eventually say (thats a Claude Bristol special, and way over the import of this email).

But really, my friend.

This more than anything else proves the adage of train for HEALTH first – and looks shall follow.

Do it the other way around, and you’ll turn into a mess, which unfortunately is what most people end up choosing.

And funny part, one of the best exercises to get that shape for the back isn’t even pull-ups, as you might think.
