The two BIGGEST productivity killers

Dear Reader,

If there ever were two inventions that I sort of wish weren’t invented – it is the very same ones that in my unbiased, politically incorrect and “typically blunt” opinion are the ones that are TWO of the biggest productivity killers, bar NONE.

What might these be, you ask.

Well, here they are – in no particular order – the Tee Vee, and the dumbphone.

Again, not in that order. I’ve often thought about which one is the worst affliction of the two, and I haven’t been able to come up with a conclusive answer, so they both take the top spot in my life.

Take a minute to ponder about it if you would.

What do the above two gadgets actually ADD into your life – meaningful stuff that is.

I recently saw a great meme posted somewhere which was about a coffee shop proudly displaying the following outside it’s windows (or perhaps it was inside? I can’t quite remember) “We don’t have WiFi. Talk to people around you!”

Yes, true indeed … and the MINUTE I saw that meme was a minute I silently high fived and applauded.

I’ve got no idea if the above is actually posted somewhere in a coffee shop someplace – but ’tis true, my friend.

Think about the following for a second as well.

Joe Blow comes home from work, tired and irascible at all the going on’s around him. He had a plan to “go to the gym” tonight, but for whatever reason, he “doesnt feel like it”.

But he reasons he’ll do it anyway – with will power. He reasons he’ll “work the heck out of the bench” (which is a bad idea anyway) and “feel good” later. Perhaps catch a few birds working out on the treadmill. And so forth …

Naturally, he believes visualization and the like is a crock of you know what, so he doesn’t attempt to do any of this to “visualize the blues away” (which by the way is very possible if you know how!).

He decides to take a minute or so of “me time” before heading out to the gym. Great idea.

As he sits down on the couch his mind wanders – and so do his hands – as they make their way to the Tee Vee remote.

He turns it on, and he’s soon lost in the negative vortex of “schnews”, soap operas, “what the latest football players did with their girlfriends”, and so forth.

Before he knows it, an hour has passed. He looks at the clock.

Oh, it’s almost such and such time. I can’t go to the gym now!

And further he sinks into the couch, and so does his subconscious mind, programmed as it is repetitively by a bunch of a meaningless garbage that adds nothing to his life in any regard.

Yes, the “tap tap repetition” technique that Claude Bristol spoke about WORKS – either in a positive or a negative sense!! And the example I gave you above is a prime example of it working in a negative sense – and is unfortunately more the norm these days then the exception.

After our “hero” is done with the soaps, news etc he gets up. Figures he might as well end the day with a six pack.

He pops one open, loses himself in the “elixir”, and is soon calling the pizza place for takeout.

And so forth. So much for good intentions of going to the gym – all put paid to by the Tee Vee in most part.

The same thing can be said about smartphones. The first thing most people do is wake up to meaningless Facebook, Twitter or Wechat updates – and while those are good in very moderate doses, folks choose to focus on these things exclusively rather than focusing on what is IMPORTANT in life.

It is astounding, but most folks actually feel way more depressed internally than they are to begin with after an hour or so of Facebook browsing (which is super addictive btw) – and this is reflected in further procrastination, nay saying, and “it won’t work” mentality.

And I should know. I see it around me in my daily life all the time – ALL over the world.

Believe me now and trust me later, the IMAGES you feed your mind with (ever wonder why selfies are so the rage all over the Internet?) are what your mind goes to work upon – – and the image you’re feeding your mind with as you “salivate” over other’s selfies etc (usually doctored) are images of LACK in your OWN LIFE – which is then reflected back to you in some way, shape or form or the other.

Anyway, I hope that explains my take on the two most useless things ever invented.

Sure, they’ve got certain uses. But by and large, and overall – were we better off BEFORE these two things were invented.

Me thinks so, my friend.

We used to pick up the phone to make a call – rather than text. We used to MEET people and talk to them – rather than browse through our Wechats while “dating” (and if you’ve been to mainland China – one place amongst many – you’ll know this is as much of a reality as I’m writing about).

We’d READ uplifting stuff as opposed to watch a bunch of garbage on the Tee Vee and make the media companies a ton of moolah while doing so.

And so forth.

What I’d recommend in YOUR life then, my friend (if you’re indeed truly interested in improving your productivity levels manifold) is this.

First, ignore the above two banes as far as possible.

I  mean really, really do so! Right now, when writing this to you my smartphone is “turned over on it’s tummy”. I care NOT what notifications I’ve got – they can wait until I feel like it looking at ’em, and even then I’ll ignore the vast bulk of them anyway.

My apartments in China never once had a functional TV – and never did I care, though I DID care about plenty of other things!

Second, replace the above two with READING – something uplifting – and then DOING.

The next time you feel down, don’t do what Joe Blow did above.

Pick up an uplifting book – something inspiring – something that has the potential to change your life – something much along the lines of Zero to Hero, for that matter.

As you read, you’ll feel the electricity starting to course through your veins.

You’ll find old ideas – and desires – “springing to the surface” all of a sudden, and before you finish the book you’ll likely be injected with so much enthusiasm to DO that you’ll be wondering where it came from.

Once this state of mind is accomplished, instantly grab your copy of the 0 Excuses Fitness System, and start pounding out a workout or two or an amalgamation of what I’ve given you in the book.

Once you’re done with the above two things – either go to work on a goal – or resume your read – or spend QUALITY time minus the Tee Vee and dumphone with those you care about.

And if you do all this, my friend – and do it regularly, YOU, not me will soon be writing back about how the tee vee and dumb phone are the banes of our lives – and rightfully so!

Ok, so thats the missive for now. I’ll be back again later!

Best,

Rahul

P.S. – Zero to Hero contains not one, not two, but 25 productivity tips that you likely haven’t seen anywhere before. These tips are outrageous at times. They reveal a side of me both personally and professionally you likely have NOT seen, far less imagined before. But the key thing is this – they WORK – and you, my friend will find this out for a FACT once you crack open the book and start implementing what is being taught. Here is where you can grab this little gem of a read – – http://0excusesfitness.com/products/zero-to-hero/

Letting go

Dear Reader,

Its often been said that “letting go” is one of the hardest things we can do in life, period.

Letting go of old “hurts”. Letting go of old – and toxic – relationships, or baggage of other nature.

Letting go of those in current relationships that “aren’t for us”. Letting go of negative emotions … and so forth.

You get the picture I’m sure.

We all hear this talk about “letting go” so often that it’s probably embedded in a very prominent area of our CONSCIOUS minds – and yet, precious few of us actually “let go” of any of the above.

All those memories I spoke about are stored in the subconscious, and our minds being what they are, those negative memories are played by default UNLESS you CONSCIOUSLY choose to play and replay the POSITIVE memories (and feel the positive emotions associated with them) repeatedly over and over again!

Napoleon Hill mentioned this in his timeless classic “Think and Grow Rich”. He likened our subconscious minds to a fertile garden where seeds of any nature may be planted – positive or negative – and the results will “sprout” accordingly whether we consciously believe this or not.

Additionally, he goes on to say that our minds are programmed to “accept” the negative by default – and therefore, one must work extra hard to make sure that the POSITIVE is ALL that is being fed to the subconscious on a daily basis!

This is accomplished by the “tap tap repetition” that Claude Bristol correctly spoke of in his great little book “The Magic of Believing”.

And VISUALIZATION, my friend – and going into your memory banks daily, regularly and on a conscious basis is KEY to “collating” all the above into a form your subconscious can understand, emotionalize, and therefore readily PROCESS.

Now, how does “letting go” fit into all this?

Ok, I’ll explain.

So you’ve done all the right things. You’ve set goals. You’re working towards them in the right spirit – doing things a certain way.

You eagerly expect the goal to manifest – – but for whatever reason, it doesn’t – – and sometimes not in the timeframe you “eagerly” expect it to.

And then you start getting frustrated. Is all of this really true, you ask yourself?

Slowly, the seeds of disbelief are planted in your mind. One seed of disbelief is enough to overpower all the other positivity (think of a bad apple ruining the lot, and you’ll get the photo).

And before you know it you’re back to square one or close to it.

You wouldnt, though if you had just LET GO of the goal after doing everything else.

When you have a certain goal – something that you really, really, REALLY want – we have a tendency to attach “timelines” to it and certain “conditions” to it.

For instance, you might expect that six pack by a certain day if you’re doing 0 Excuses Fitness day in and day out.

You might expect a ton of moolah landing on your desk by “so and so date” in “so and so form” – and truth be told, this can very well happen if you visualize correctly – but what ends up happening is folks get “over attached to the goal”, and this sends out a feeling of “need” to the Universe – as opposed to “want”.

And poof goes the goal.

Once you set a goal – you do all the right things – but then you leave it up to the Universe in terms of “how” it’ll deliver that goal to you!

Let me give you an example – a few months ago, for whatever reason, I was craving pizza.

A nice, juicy pizza with LOADS of cheese on it. Pepperoni. Extra large. The works. You get it, I’m sure.

It was something that I really wanted – and yet, after visualizing this for a while deeply, I didn’t think about it all day. I didn’t think about “when I’d get it”.

It had nothing to do with money – or the lack of it – or the abundance of it – or anything remotely related to money for that matter.

Yet, for whatever reason I wanted it.

A few days after doing this visualization, guess what happened.

One of my good friends called me up, and invited me over for a pizza — completely out of the blue!

The pizza was extra large. Had all the cheese I wanted and then some. Even had some super tasty garlic DIP to go with it – – and plenty of pepperoni as well. In short, my dream pizza – which materialized with me literally doing very little except for visualizing it, and …

… letting GO of it once I was done visualizing!

And lest you think this is a one off, think again.

I didn’t visualize this again, and yet, over the next couple of months, MORE friends invited me for pizza – the SAME pizza – out of the BLUE – without me doing anything at all to “move towards that goal!”

Now, am I saying you have a goal and just sit and do nothing to work towards it?

Quite the contrary, my friend.

If you’re looking to lose weight, you pound out the squats as I tell you to do in the 0 Excuses Fitness System right HERE – http://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/

As Emerson said, you do the thing – and you’ll have the power.

If you’re looking to get better at pull-ups, you grab a copy of my bestselling “Pull-ups – from DUD to STUD within a matter of WEEKS” – and you get cranking.

Ditto for anything else you’re looking to achieve … BUT .. after doing all the above, you don’t stress about “if” it’ll happen or “an exact time” when it’ll happen.

If you do all the things – the right things – in a certain WAY – then happen it will, my friend.

And chances are excellent and SECOND to none that you’ll get MORE than what you wanted – just as in the “pizza” example I gave you above.

The Universe doesn’t lack, my friend. In fact it doesn’t even know such a word exists. And it’ll give you all the abundance you want if you just take a step back – let go – and be prepared to RECEIVE!

So that’s today’s tip – and something to work towards as well. Letting go, my friend – is  KEY to achievement in any sphere of life – never forget that!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – One thing you really don’t want to let go of is your copy of Corrugated Core once its in your hands. The results you’ll achieve from this little monster are truly spectacular, my friend. Your neighbors will soon be asking you what you do to get results in such a short period of time – and rather than “let go” of your copy – direct them to the sales page right here – – http://0excusesfitness.com/corrugated-core/

P.S #2 – Some of you have asked for videos with regard to pull-ups. I might look into putting these on the members area – stay tuned!

Recapture that happy feeling

Dear Reader,

Every morning when I wake up, I have certain thoughts – and after those thoughts, a certain melody starts to play in my mind – a melody I’ve heard often in the past – and a melody I’ve written about  before.

Regular readers of this newsletter will probably guess what this is about.

YES, it’s THAT melody that I heard in China – played on the loudspeakers in the park (in the late afternoons) while I used to train there – almost all alone, and yet not – at peace with myself, and out there in Nature, feeling the spring sun upon my back as I trained.

A wonderful, wonderful feeling, and I’ve written before the wonderful, uplifted feeling I had EVERY time I heard those slow, lilting tunes.

Oh my. Almost done transported me to another world as it were … and I’m IN that world as I write this to you now, my friend.

I’m stretching my hamstrings out after  a tough hill climb. I’m thinking about my daughter – – some of my friends – – and I’ve got this HUGE cheshire cat grin on my face – – which by the way has got NOTHING to do with the smashing workout I just got through.

The old man I’ve referred to so often is coming up the stairs – – slowly, but surely, and I’m looking forward to greeting him.

A lady that does a lot of yoga like movements that would put the average yogi/yogini to shame within a jiffy is preparing to pack her things up and leave.

And in general – – as the clock ticks 3:30 or so, the song fades out, only to be replaced by another … and all is SUPER WELL in my world as I descend them stairs, say hello to the rambunctious (one of them!) security guard, and prepare to head home.

……

WOW!

Did I just type all that? Did I just say what I did?

Seems I did – and I said it for a purpose as well – that purpose being to remind you that our past, present and (most importantly) our FUTURES – are nothing more than what we create in our minds for ourselves – whether we know it or not.

You can liken it to a movie – – and you can literally “cut out” parts you don’t like – – and choose to “make your own mental movies” with ONLY the parts you like – – and focus upon THOSE for the future.

And though  I’ve spoken about this at length before, some folks still don’t “get it” – so I’m mentioning it again.

Believe me, Wallace D. Wattles had it SPOT on when he spoke about doing things a “certain way”.

That certain way doesn’t just mean move your hands here – – or sit there – – or any such “rum drum” things you might think of.

No – it means to go into your memory banks – and infuse whatever you are doing NOW – with the same PASSION, INTENSITY and FEELING you had in the past when you succeeded at something – – or the same passion you have for your goals – – or whatever – – and do so in a “happy” mood!

And while the logic of that is easy to comprehend, the “feeling” part is the most important, my friend.

You can “think” you’re doing things a certain way – – but until you “feel yourself doing things a certain way” and “feel” good – – it ain’t gonna work.

And the way to tap into that immense reservoir of feelings – – emotion – – and raw, untapped LATENT POWER we ALL have inside of us is to visualize correctly and with DEEP EMOTION!

I’ve often had dreams of passing by an immense, calm, yet flowing lake (or perhaps river) of sorts – – and in that dream I’ve seen the outline of a croc as well.

My “dream self” noticed this. Hey, that looks like a croc hiding underneath all that water!

A few steps later, that “mass” in the water revealed itself to be a gigantic croc – hiding under the water – a  metaphor, and an apt one if any, which reveals the hidden POWERS of our subconscious – literally way, way more than anything we can imagine.

Anyhow, how does any of this relate to fitness, you might ask?

Well, simple – you don’t just “go through the motions” when you’re doing a 0 Excuses Fitness workout, for example.

When you’re doing pushups, or putting yourself through the wringer in terms of getting to 500 Hindu Squats at a go – you don’t just “do the thing”.

You do the squats – the pushups – with FEELINGINTENSITY – while keeping your ultimate goal in mind!

And you do so when you have a good FEELING going on – – and truth be told, the deep breathing that I repeatedly emphasize so often makes you get into that “feel good” state almost as soon as you start your routine.

Folks often speak of “runner’s high” or other artificial highs that you get from substances such as alcohol, tobacco etc.

Fooey. All of the above ain’t NOTHING when compared to the natural high you get from breathing and performing certain exercises correctly – – and the best darn exercise there is is a PRIME example of this, mi amigo.

So thats today’s tip – albeit a somewhat long one.

When you’re doing something – or about to do something – always, always, pay attention to your breathing – and your emotions while you’re doing that thing.

Make this a part of your life, just like the next breath you take – and you’ll notice the changes taking place almost immediately if you do it right.

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

The ultimate fat SMELTER

Dear Reader,

And … man boob blaster, I should say. Or “bingo wings fryer”. Or, “lard lump whacker”.

Or perhaps most accurately “love handle blaster” (hey, shouldn’t they start calling them “hate” handles – – after all, no-one really loves them or finds them s-e-x-y – – or do they? hehe).

Those that like their “meat” big might disagree on that last one, but hey, by and large I doubt excess fat around anyone’s midsection is their idea of “lovely” – let alone falling in love with them “squishy mooshy” (as my daughter loves to say) handles.

Anyway, while I haven’t seen any of the above for a long, long time – – I just got done with an awesome workout. I was dripping with sweat in 35 minutes flat, and my abdomen literally felt like it was turned inside out.

And I’ve got NO doubt whatsoever that tomorrow morning – –  a good 10 hours or so after the workout – I’ll still be feeling it in my shoulders, core and lats.

But that ain’t the reason I’m writing to you about this.

It’s because what I just did could well be considered the ULTIMATE fat blasting workout – for those that can handle it, of course.

What did I do?

Well, it’s none of the usual culprits. Although those are excellent fat blasters in their own regard what I did tonight trumps all of the above by a long, long shot.

It’s a no contest basically – and it involves a heavy bag.

What it does NOT involve though is this – improper breathing, punching “like a madman” with no technique and form or “going all out” without proper form – or a combo of the above – and if you’ve ever hit a heavy bag for any length of time, you KNOW what I’m talking about with regard to the above.

You may or may not know what I’m talking bout w.r.t the “ultimate fat blaster”, but it’s indeed so potent that I’m considering putting out a mini-course on it too.

On second thoughts, I may include that in “Advanced 0 Excuses Fitness” – for those that can handle it, of course!

So if heavy bag routines are your thing – and you’d like me to put out a course focusing on heavy bag training to BLAST fat and build a ton of useful, functional MUSCLE – then let me know, and I’ll see what I can do!

And the most amazing part?

The real “fat smelting” effect of this takes place in less than a MINUTE – if you can last that long, that is.

It’s akin to doing sprints – for the upper body – if you get my drift!

It ain’t for everyone tho, I’ll say that upfront – and again, if you’re interested, shoot me a line and I’ll see what I can dish up.

Meanwhile, remember that there are plenty of other fat blasters you can take advantage of – right now.

Hindu Squats, as covered in the 0 Excuses Fitness System – –  http://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/ – – are a great, great overall muscle builder and fat blaster.

And yes, these are one of those exercises that’ll get the heart thumping and sweat pouring within less than a minute as well. If you’re just starting out, I’ll bet dollars to donuts 20-25 is all you’ll be able to pop off – – this is EVEN if you’ve been doing squats with heavy, ponderous weights for years!

Advanced Hill Training is another such little gem of a book that contains plenty of routines that’ll get your attention – within 30 seconds or less in the case of some people – and you’ll literally see the man boobs – – or “turkey neck” – – or whatever it is – – melting straight before your very eyes as you go through the movements.

So until I come out with the new course I’m referring to – there is plenty to keep you busy – healthy – and fat free, my friend.

Grab one of these tools TODAY and start cranking that internal fat furnace of yours pronto!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – Talking about fat smelting and the like – – my new course Corrugated Core is disappearing off the shelves as far as it can be “virtually” stocked, hehe. Grab your copy right here – – http://0excusesfitness.com/corrugated-core/

P.S. #2 – And if you’re making the oft made mistake of thinking that Advanced Hill Training doesn’t work without hills, slopes or inclines – – well, you’re sadly mistaken, my friend. It works just as well anywhere — find out just how effective these routines are on flat ground by actually doing ’em first- –  http://0excusesfitness.com/advanced-hill-training/

Personal training VS Personal “Ego Boost”

Dear Reader,

My, my, my. What is the world coming to, eh?

A couple of months ago I was taking a quick walk around my apartment complex in China, and I was taking note of the various gyms around me.

I was having more than a quiet giggle as well to myself at their prominently displayed ads right outside the establishments – most of which featured muscles head and roid monsters in all their glory, posing and preening, muscles oiled and such.

Being I had some time that evening, I figured I’d go in and take a quick gander to see if things had changed from the LAST time I was at these sort of places.

And before I finish – quick spoiler – yes – they have – apparently for the worse!

The first place I went to was apparently hiring for personal trainers.

The gal at the front counter looked at me with a bored glance, and waved me on, as if to say “another applicant”.

A dude in a “figure hugging” T-shirt greeted me and said Hi, as I looked around.

“Are you interested in personal training?” he asked

“Nah. I’m just here to take a quick gander”, I responded.

And as I walked away, I took more than a quick gander – at one of the PT’s there – a young Chinese lady working with another young client.

The young client was apparently suffering from a severe case of “bingo wings”. For those that dont know, thats about as embarrassing to some as a case of the “turkey neck” – or “junk in the trunk” might be – and so she was trying to get rid of it.

And how?

Well, she was lifting pink dumbells of all things – which weighed about 5 kgs at most each – and doing so while seated on a comfortable looking chair (not even a bench!).

After each set of 5 reps she’d stop, look in the mirror (conveniently placed near her), flex her non existent biceps, and pretend her underarms weren’t “wiggling” – and ask her trainer a question.

“I’m getting slimmer, aren’t I?”

And almost before the poor girl could respond – she’d nod and say yes, as the trainer would then agree.

As I was walking out the door, I saw said trainer massaging the client’s shoulders as she was “lifting weights” (though to call it that would be a gross disservice to said weights!) – and looking at me out of the corner of her eye with an embarassed look in her eyes.

Mmm Hmm … I wonder why?

After this I popped into another place – again a place that was supposedly hiring personal trainers, and I was AGAIN asked if I was a trainer.

“Yes, but I usually train people online these days”, I responded.

“Oh”, responded the guy, looking me over. “Well, thats good. We don’t want lean and fit folks like you in here anyway”, he said (he actually DID say that!).

“Uh huh”, I responded, not believing what I was hearing. “Well, who DO you want in here?”

“Strong guys …like THAT!” the dude responded, pointing out a picture of a bonafide roid crazed monster on a poster situated conveniently right above the pec deck (complete with the mandatory grunt and snarl, hehe).

“Strong? How many pull-ups can he do” I asked.

“Who cares about that stuff” sniffed the dude. “So long as the muscles look good – and look big – thats what our clients care about!”

Uh huh ….

Things sure have changed – for the WORSE, my friend, when it comes to personal training – and I’m not even going to get into the story of the PT I saw her in India in a park who was not only on the phone during a personal training session, but also incorrectly advising others on how to do pull-ups in a sad attempt to gain more biz.

Sad, sad, sad, and whats more, personal training seems to have turned into a farce these days – a personal ego boost of sorts from what I can tell.

And I’m on a mission to counter this – with other serious  folks that I train (either online or offline).

You’ll get NO ego boosts if you come train with me, my friend. In fact its likely you’ll be eating humble pie the first week – or perhaps even month of your training.

There’ll be no pink dumbbells or machines of ANY nature. And the only weight you’ll be pushing, pulling and pumpin will BE your OWN, my friend.

There’s be no LSD cardio done with personal trainer ready to “cool you down” once you’re done. More likely a heart pounding session from start to finish that won’t leave time to BREATHE – let alone anything else!

And so forth – and most of all, no ego boost whatsoever!

It’s the same as when  I was teaching English in China. I’d have many a student come in and tell me “how to teach”, and my response was always the same.

One, to respect the instructor. The student does NOT instruct the instructor on “how to do” – and when this was countered by “I’m paying, so I’m the boss”, I’d tell said student to take their money and go home – or elsewhere.

Two, and more importantly, I’d reiterate that my goal was to TEACH – and achieve results – not play the dancing monkey – and I take this same philosophy into my TRAINING sessions as well.

I’m here to help you improve – and get results.

I’m there to get you through and guide you through some of the most grueling training sessions you’ve ever been through – NOT to hold your hand and “commiserate”.

I’m there to help you ACHIEVE – not complain.

And so forth – and guess what – you’ll thank me for it when it’s all said and done, and you’ll see yourself achieving the very results you invested in me for – as opposed to all the other time wasters out there.

So if that philosophy appeals to you – well – we’re definitely a good fit, and my coaching services are definitely for YOU!

Apply right now – – and be prepared to be “whooped” into the very best shape of your life!

Rahul Mookerjee

“Uncommon” exercises to burn FAT – QUICK!

Dear Reader,

‘Tis no secret that the vast majority of trainees want ONE THING in particular from their workout – that being the FAT burning, lard lump killing, “junk in the trunk” eliminating effect of the workout.

And not only that – we ALL want it QUICK, don’t we? Hehe …

I’ve spoken at length before various fat burning tools I’ve used in the past that aren’t that commonly used by most people, although they know about ’em.

For instance, hill training – and simply hiking long steep hills on a regular basis with a bit of other work thrown in will get you in the very best shape of your life.

Not only that – your bloodwork and internal health will improve dramatically, as will the strength of your ORGANS. In other words, you’ll literally change from the inside out – which is what it is all about!

Hindu squats have much the same effect, except in some cases they work QUICKER in terms of burning fat. And so do high rep pushup workouts – and the other myriad of routines I describe in 0 Excuses Fitness.

But we already KNOW about all that, don’t we?

Very well then. Let’s get to some UNCOMMON fat blasting tools – stuff which if I told you you’d think I’ve gone bonkers, but I haven’t, my friend.

For instance, did you know that PULL-ups – – often and correctly touted as one of the ultimate STRENGTH building exercises there is – can give you a cardio workout bar NONE?

Ditto for dips – another exercise that is often lumped into the “brute strength” category – and rightly so, by the way?

Last night, I worked on the 0 Excuses Member’s area for a bit, sorting out some issues.

The only remaining issue now is that the videos from the System need to go on there – along with ALL other 0 Excuses Products – which by the way is all YOURS – for FREE – if you subscribe to the annual plan laid out here.

It’s a deal for what I’m giving you. Remember you not only get instant and continuous access to all products on the site, but more and most importantly, you get access to a MASTERMIND as well – including my own mind and others that have signed up.

I can put a dollar tag on the FIRST – but the SECOND? Invaluable, my friend. Priceless if I might say so!

Anyway, so after working on this I went out for a brief workout (for me).

I was going to do a 100 pull-ups and a 100 dips followed by a three to four mile jaunt and then a few sprints.

“I’ll be back in an hour or so. Maybe somewhat later”, I told the wife.

“Doesn’t the park close early though?”

She was right – the park DID end up “locking me in” one night I was training at a late hour – more on that later!

“Yes, but I should be done before that”.

And off I went, with nary a care in the world.

45 minutes later, I’m dripping with sweat — and my body feels worked to the BONE – – and I’m back home.

“Wow”, my wife said, looking at me. “That was QUICK!”

Now in case you believe the sprints and the walk got the ole heart pumping to the degree I’m talking about – think AGAIN.

They did – sure – but the BULK of my cardio last night came from pull-ups and dips – and while that might sound crazy, ’tis indeed true.

Most people would be hard pressed to perform either a pull-up or a set of dips in letter perfect form – let alone bang ’em out for reps – and let alone at the cadence required to get super cardio in as well.

Yet, get super cardio from these exercises you can – and let me tell you, these sessions will benefit your heart, lungs and entire body FAR FAR MORE than “traditional cardio done for an hour to keep your heart rate in the target zone” ever, ever could.

Some of you might have noticed that my advanced courses on pull-ups and handstands do NOT have videos associated with them – AS of this point, that is.

This may change in the very near future. I’m considering putting some videos out on this – again, all free to those that subscribe to the 0 Excuses Ship (the member’s area I’m referring to).

These videos alone will likely be worth the cost of admission, my friend. I’m not a betting man – but I’ll bet you my bottom dollar you ain’t seen these exercises done the way I’m going to show you ANYWHERE else – and I’ll bet you feel like a new man after attempting only a few minutes of each.

Without further ado then, here is the sign up link – – http://0excusesfitness.com/membership-account/membership-levels/ (can also be accessed via the “members” link on the main page).

I look forward to welcoming you aboard this select group of DOERS.

Best,

Your own fitness MASTERMIND

Dear Reader,

A while ago (a few months ago to be precise) a BATTLE ROYAL was being waged – between two good friends.

One a version of King Kong – and the other diminutive in comparison. David VS Goliath you might say, hehe – – and this “war between two great friends” was none other than the “war or words” between my buddy from the Marines Vincent – and myself, hehe.

And as astute readers of this list might already know – it was about an issue of “utmost importance” – that being the old “lion VS tiger” debate.

Hell, I even did up a blog post which caused more than a few readers to spit out their morning coffee – – here it is – – http://0excusesfitness.com/2018/04/23/the-king-of-the-jungle/

(That above link is a great read if you’re interested in cat like flexibility and strength, btw!)

But, the point of me saying this in a “master mind email”?

Well, there’s a good point actually – but consider this, my friend.

As we all know, the tiger is the biggest, baddest (tho my buddy may disagree, hehe) and the meanest of all the big cats out there.

Though the lion is no slouch, give me the tiger anyday over a solo battle with the lion.

The tiger is also a SOLITARY beast – while lions live in prides, which might be one reason why my buddy then told me “Hmm, thats another reason you identify with the tiger more!”

And upon thinking about it -he was right.

I’ve always been a “lone wolf” in many regards throughout my life – regardless of where I was or what I was doing.

I’ve always  been “that mysterious guy” until a certain point (or more accurately, until I started my online businesses etc) – and even then, those that know me in real life know that I don’t have many CLOSE friends.

There’s a good reason behind this.

I choose to surround myself with a select few people that UPLIFT me. A select few people that I can bounce topics off of – – and always rely upon for practical advice when it’s required.

And a few select people whose brain waves mesh with my own to create what Napoleon Hill famously termed as the Mastermind.

Put simply, and as Hill correctly explains it in his path  breaking books – – a Mastermind is a group of people all working towards the same aim – and on the EXACT same wavelength in terms of everything required to achieve that goal.

That means no negativity. 100% and more focus on what is required to achieve the goal – and mutual “harnessing” of talents – and most importantly, BRAIN WAVES to achieve that certain goal.

Throughout the ages, great inventors, biz men and people of note have made use of this principle.

Henry Ford never reached the astounding levels of financial and biz success he did until he allied himself with Edison and other leading minds of the century – and their combined brains did FAR more for them than either one could as a “lone warrior”.

And I should know, my friend.

I should KNOW – boy should I know!

For far too many years in my life, I labored on as a solitary beast – both in terms of biz and fitness. It was only a few years ago that I started to understand the VITAL power of having the right “group of people” around you – in other words, a MASTERMIND – and this one trick alone can propel you to greater levels of success than anything else you could achieve “as a lone wolf”.

And I’m telling you this because – in terms of fitness, chances are EXCELLENT, and SECOND TO NONE that you’re “laboring on”as a solo warrior as well in that regard.

Well, I’m here to tell you this – align yourself with the right group of people, and you’ll find them goals becoming that much easier to achieve when you’ve got the right people to encourage you – support you – give you PRACTICAL advice – and most of all, give you a kick up the ole rumpus when you really NEED it (and believe me, we all need a kick up our backsides on occasion – yours truly included!).

In terms of fitness, lets say your goal is to pound out 500 squats per workout.

A great, great goal, and one you’ll accomplish a lot sooner than you think – – but only if you ally yourself with the right group of LIKEMINDED people whose energy you can feed off – – and whose brains will automatically align with yours in terms of reaching your fitness goals.

The same thing goes pull-ups – handstand pushups – or simply losing weight as quick as you can pile it on, for that matter!

In “Outwitting the Devil“, Napoleon Hill states how he constantly rose to great heights of success, only to fail just as spectacularly – – in cycles, as it were – – peaks and troughs — until he realized the one thing that was holding him back from PERMANENT success – – and that was the lack of a Mastermind in his life.

There were other reasons behind what I mentioned, but THIS was the primary reason – and once he incorporated this one principle into his life, his success grew wings almost instantly and took off like never before!

And the same thing holds true for any successful person, my friend. Look at their life, and you’ll likely find a MasterMind of some nature in there.

The same holds true for YOU as well in terms of fitness, my friend.

Getting the books and courses is great – a great, great investment you’ll never regret.

But for those that want to go the extra mile – and achieve way more than they ever have – well, the MASTERMIND principle is something you might want to consider.

That is what I currently offer through my coaching sessions, my friend. I’ve been there – done that – and learned through “the school of hard knocks” – and if you’re in the least bit interested about getting fit from the inside out – and STAYING that way – well, you can use all the help you can get in this regard!

So there’s two choices for you. One is to remain a lone wolf, go it solo and catch all the “tough breaks” that come your way, with the associated hardships etc.

And hey –  if you choose that route – no problemo, amigo. Hell, I’ve done that myself in the past – like I said – I should know!

But if you truly want to accelerate the gains you make in health, strength and fitness – – and ally yourself with minds that are IN TUNE with what YOU want to accomplish, well, then my coaching services would be a great start.

I look forward to serving you.

To your SUCCESS,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – Something else that has been in the works for a while now is a “0 Excuses Ship” – an “inner circle “of sorts – or an online fitness Mastermind of sorts, if I might say so – where not only ME – but others with the same goals etc will be present. It’s a select group of DOERS – and these DOERS will push, motivate, kick, punch, scream (ok, I went overboard there, hehe) and generally do whatever it is they have to do in order to help YOU SUCCEED! All you really have is the NOW

Dear Reader,

When you’re setting out to accomplish a goal – – or visualizing like I speak about so often – – it’s very important to remember that although future goals are DEFINITELY important – at the end of the day, it is the “now” that matters.

Not so much the external circumstances of the “now” you might be facing – good, bad, excellent, or a combination in various shapes, forms and guises perhaps.

What matters if after taking stock of past successes – – and visualizing future successes – – and breathing LIFE into them, you return to the “here and now”.

In short, you live in the now.

This is a key point to note. Many people get so caught up in the future and so “attached to it – that they forget to live in the NOW – and be grateful for the NOW instead of “pining” for the future as it were.

The term “pining” might be a bit extreme, but you’d be amazed at how “attached” people get to their goals and forget to “let go” of ’em so they can actually manifest!

Creating something requires you to “WANT” it at your very core – but also let go – if you don’t – you create “need” instead of “want” and we all know what happens when you “run after something”, don’t we?

It runs further, and further and further away from us, and so is the case with goals – both FITNESS WISE and life wise.

Back to the present, and living in the present.

Are you breathing deeply – – as of THIS moment, and feeling RELAXED, and ENJOYING life for what it is – good ole LIFE?

Are you APPRECIATIVE of all the things you HAVE – – as opposed to the multitude of things you might say you don’t have – – or “need” – – or even “want”?

Are you doing your best to add value in whatever line of work you’re in – – see the post on DOING things a certain WAY?

If you’re working out, are you fully immersed in your workout – – and determined to give it the best shot you’ve got?

And so forth.

These are ultra simple, yet uber powerful questions we ALL need to be asking ourselves on a daily basis, yours truly included.

I’ve got multiple goals at this point in my life, the most primary one of which is not fitness related, and yet, I’m in no way “attached” to that goal.

Does that mean I don’t want it?

Of course not! I WANT it – and I’ll have it – – but the key thing for me is to continuously remind myself that the PRESENT is ultimately what leads to the FUTURE.

This is a lesson I learnt (amongst many others) when I was getting my weight down from 120 – 60 kgs.

When I woke up at 5:30 A.M. in the morning, the first thing I’d do would be to jump out of bed – not necessarily because I HAD achieved my goal – or was going to that day – but because I had a daily goal of X number of climbs to accomplish (amongst one thing).

When I was aiming towards a 100 pull-ups per workout – and a 100 handstand pushups per workout – and so forth, none of these things seemed “within my grasp” in the NOW- and yet – I believed it was merely a matter of time before I got there.

I could SEE myself there – and I armed myself with this spirit in the “now” (back then) – and now?

Well, I’m teaching people how to do exactly what I did, both in terms of pull-ups and fitness in general – – and achieve the same results or better!

And one of the main keys for me to be even able to do this is this – I focused and still focus, at the end of the day on what I can do NOW – in the here and now. At this point in time. Right NOW!

You, my friend, would be well advised to do the same as well.

So if you’re currently stuck at handstand pushups, for instance, visualize the future.

Visualize yourself being able to pop ’em off – – and do so with PASSION – – but once you’re done, return to the present, and focus on what you can do NOW.

Perhaps it’s attempting to hold a handstand. Perhaps it’s a partial handstand. Perhaps it’s ONE handstand held for a few seconds.

Whatever it is, concentrate and focus on what you’re doing NOW – – in the spirit of “having already achieved your goal” – – and you’ll find your results dramatically accelerate – – for the BETTER!

Ok, my friend. That’s it for today – and I’ll be back again later!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – If all you’re able to do right now in terms of exercise is ONE pushup, and perhaps a few squats, well – take heart, for one. You are certainly not alone in that regard! Make up your mind to get better at them, and get better you will. And after this, focus on getting better in the HERE and now – – with all the tools I’ve outlined in the 0 Excuses Fitness System right here – – http://0excusesfitness.com/0excusesfitnessystem/. You simply cannot go wrong!

Deep breathing to lose fat

Dear Reader,

One of the most common mistakes that a lot of folks make when starting the 0 Excuses Fitness System (actually, I shouldn’t say just starting – so called “advanced” trainees can be guilty of the very same thing as well!) is this – they neglect the MOST IMPORTANT part of the entire System (and the exercise routines).

What is this, you ask.

It’s not so much the “how” to do the exercises – – or even WHAT exact exercises you’re doing.

It’s not so much “how many reps” or even “how often”. Although those two are important, and should certainly be on your radar, they aren’t by far the MOST IMPORTANT.

Blink and you’ll miss it, but there’s a potent little section on Deep Breathing in 0 Excuses Fitness, and how to breathe the RIGHT way – – especially when doing the BEST darn exercise ever – – and ALL the rest of the exercises I advocate in the System.

This little bit is well worth a read – – re-read – – and “tri-read” – – and so forth. In fact I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I were to say that one section alone was worth the investment you made in the System – so potent indeed are the benefits to your entire body – and BRAIN – and LIFE – if you simply take the time to BREATHE correctly!

Martin Farmer Burns wrote in his mail order course “Lessons in Physical Culture and Wrestling” that “Deep breathing has made many a sick man well, and many a weak man strong”.

There have been cases (and he goes into this in the course) where folks lying on a sick bed have improved their health and well being by doing NOTHING other than focused deep breathing – and these are true stories, by the way.

Deep breathing, my friend, done the right way is so much more than “just breathing”.

When you breathe correctly – you turn on the internal fat burner in your system and crank it up to MAX – and it STAYS there for the duration of your workout!

When you breathe correctly – you RECOVER much quicker from getting out of breath (for instance, if you’re doing sprints – or high rep squats – you’ll RECOVER a lot faster).  This little tip alone is again well worth it’s weight in gold – – and those that have read the System know this.

Not only this, deep breathing enlarges the diaphragm, and ALL the underlying muscles of the chest – thereby making the entire chest and upper back more prominent, and broader than if you were to just exercise without any conscious deep breathing.

But the MOST POTENT benefits of deep breathing aren’t even fat related – they’re MIND related.

Life related, if I might say so.

I talk a lot about visualization, but deep breathing and emotion are the keys to getting those visuals “transmuted” into your current reality, and deep breathing is the “doorway” through which your emotions travel towards the Infinite, thereby making your dreams a reality.

Deep breathing makes you calmer in ANY situation. The next time you feel down – – or hassled – – or perhaps even “drowning in debt” – – take a minute or two to BREATHE deeply, and you’ll soon see that in the grand scheme of things, none of it matters very much.

Don’t believe me? Don’t think deep breathing actually works?

Well, thats because you’ve NOT been doing it correctly, my friend. It’s sad, but true – but the vast majority of adults out there are SHALLOW breathers – – as opposed to kids and babies (under the age of 5 or so) that breathe NATURALLY.

You breathe from the abdomen – not the chest. And you do so deeply!

The next time you feel stressed, or out of control, or experience any similar emotion, do the following.

  • Sit in a straight backed chair. Spine straight, arms on your thighs.
  • Allow the rest of your body to “relax” while keeping the head and spine straight.
  • Simply start off by breathing DEEPLY – from the stomach – all the way from your toes to your head – and HOLD each breath for a second or so (you can go longer, but a second is fine).
  • Once you’ve filled your lungs like you might a balloon, slowly exhale each last bit of air until your lungs are “deflated” (and yes, the above two points can be used as visualization tips when doing this).
  • Repeat for 10-15 reps.

I’ll bet you my bottom dollar your mind starts to clear and the cobwebs disappear, and a whole new “reality” starts to appear in your brain (usually in the form of a picture) if you do the above right.

And that is just the beginning, my friend.

The above is the SIMPLEST way to start experiencing the benefits of deep breathing – and when you start mixing in goal setting and visualization – oh my. WATCH OUT – you’ll literally be off to the races!

So that is today’s tip, my friend. When you workout – make sure you BREATHE – and FOCUS on your breathing – WITH EVERY REP!

Hindu pushups, by the way are one of the very best exercises I’ve found to “focus on your breathing” as you train. The rhythmic up and down “ocean wave like” movement of the exercise makes it possible to focus not just on your breathing, but your goals as well.

And whether you try consciously or not – once you start doing these in higher reps, and picturing your goals as you train, you’ll automatically start to ACHIEVE those goals as well in your own life.

Might sound esoteric to a degree, but hey – it’s all true!

Try it for a while if you don’t believe me – – and report back afterwards. I bet you’ll be stunned and thats putting it lightly!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – And YES – while pushups and squats require deep breathing on every rep, so do pull-ups – or handstand pushups – or any other TOUGHIE where you might imagine “brute strength” gets it all done. No it doesn’t, my friend. One of the keys I used to skyrocket myself towards the magic 100 in pull-ups was DEEP BREATHING. I literally “breathed my way up” on some of those last reps – – and if you read the book – – you’ll know what I mean! Here it is for your reference – – http://0excusesfitness.com/pull-ups-from-dud-to-stud-within-a-matter-of-weeks/

Your personal cocoon of SUCCESS!

Dear Reader,

Just spotted a lovely yellow butterfly that suddenly and somehow made it’s way into our home – curiously enough while I was talking about the subject of royalties and associated monies with the wife.

If there’s one reason I LOVE communicating back and forth with the Infinite – the Higher Power – and the Universe – it is this – SYNCHRONICITY – at just the right times!

And it isn’t just about what the yellow butterfly signifies or if you even believe in them.

There have been times I’ve done what I said above – – and ideas – – or should I say COMMANDS have been issued to me – – seemingly out of the blue, yet the force with which these ideas materialize seemingly out of nowhere definitely prove that there is more to it than “rational thought”.

In fact, and Napoleon Hill writes about this in “Outwitting the devil“, rational is often the LAST thing you’d associate with some of said ideas – or commands – or “decrees from the Infinite” – and yet, believe you me, they turn out way more rationally than those ideas you’d “ponder for hours” – – and in a wondrous way you’d never ever dream would happen.

Now, I realize there are those that will dismiss the above as hocus pocus and bunk from the looney tune bin, and thats fine – I’m not out to “preach to the converted”, as a biz contact of mine recently put it.

But, as we leave this subject, and “drift on” (much like said butterfly) to other topics, including what I’m going to talk about today – remember what Thomas Edison once famously said.

Ideas come out of space“.

Henry Ford once said that “Thinking is the hardest thing to do – which is why so few people engage in it“.

With the above in mind, let’s proceed.

We all have rough days – rough times that we have to get through – some rougher than the others.

And a common “gripe” (or perhaps “source of confusion” would be a better term) amongst many folks when I talk about visualization and how it seemingly “instantly” removes the blues is this – – HOW can I “visualize” and feel good amidst what feels like a sea of crap?

How can I feel “rich” when I’ve got bills staring me in the face?

How can I feel “uplifted” when I’m experiencing “negativity” around me all day long?

And so forth.

And hey, I understand. Not only have I BEEN there – but Ford correctly pointed out what he did about thinking – and the only thing I’d differ with him on is how EASY it is to visualize – – when you do so correctly.

In Zero to Hero I give you an example of how an English student of mine (back when I taught ESL, hehe) literally improved her English abilities by leaps and bounds using THIS ONE trick alone – – and no additional homework or extra practice (although yes, I did give her more HW etc at a later stage).

And for now, if you’re surrounded by negativity?

Well, a good way to think of it is this – – you’re a moth – – or a caterpillar – – weaving that silk cocoon around yourself that NO-ONE can breach.

An inner sanctum that not only is PRIVATE and yours only – – but an inner sanctum where you completely ignore the outer world during visualizing – – much like a caterpillar might en route to it’s “butterfly” life.

That last line has powerful symbolism too, by the way.

Visualize not just positive things in your cocoon – – but visualize GOOD Things happening in the future. Much like a caterpillar turns into a butterfly – – so shall YOUR fortunes change – – for the better- –  only if you let’ em mentally!!

I’ve said this in the past often and it bears repeating. Our mental movies dictate our outer reality, and its TRUE, my friend.

Along with the cocoon mentality – the other things you want to THINK ABOUT in your cocoon -are past successes — and TRANSMUTE that same energy into the future!

And don’t tell me you’ve never had any successes, my friend. I dont know where from people have this idea that being a multi-millionaire is the only sign of success, but it sure as heck ain’t the only yardstick in my book.

Sure, it’s certainly perhaps “one of the things”, but not the only thing by far.

Being able to do a 100 pull-ups, for instance, per workout – – and the entire journey of getting there from ZERO, to me is a resounding success!

Going down from 120 kgs to 60 kgs is quite literally a success that few others would be able to match – – especially if you’ve done it in a short timeframe.

Cracking sale after sale in a company where others haven’t been able to do so before you? Success again, my friend.

Going on the trip with someone you really, really adored a couple of years ago? Memories that last forever?

Success again, my friend!

And there you have it. I’ve just listed out four or so different successes that most people will have had – and truth be told, if you look beneath the surface, you’ll find plenty more.

So that’s today’s tip. When visualizing – make sure to go into your cocoon (or a “private room in your mind”, as Dr. Maltz pointed out in Psycho Cybernetics) – – and make sure to relive ALL past successes (or as many as you can) while simultaneously porting these successes over to your future goals.

See it – FEEL it – and it’ll happen, my friend. It’ll happen — and believe me, the results will be nigh astounding if you apply what I’ve just told you in all areas of your life!

All for now. While you’re at it, don’t forget that the RIGHT FORM OF physical activity is key to getting the endorphins going – – and keeping them at an all time high, all day long – – so be sure to crank out your pushups, pull-ups and squats per the 0 Excuses Fitness System – – which, by the way is as much of a “must include” in your daily life as all the above it.

I’m out – be back later again!

Best,

Rahul Mookerjee

P.S. – Lots of folks have a goal to get that “X taper” and a core of steel, but are stuck in terms of the “how to get there”. Well, worry NOT my friend. We’ve recently put out a brand new course “Corrugated Core” — and it’s flying off the shelves as we speak. Grab YOUR copy right here – – http://0excusesfitness.com/corrugated-core/
